Review:
The cast of characters in this book was amazing. So much depth in so little pages. All characters were dynamic, and some comparisons were made between different cliques that I liked to see, showing that mean people were in all walks of life, just as good people were. At one point, Ally, the female protagonist, calls attention to this and shames someone on their biased opinion. It was one of the best, most profound moments in this book. The book starts with Ally about to do something really horrible. Her dad was such a jerk. OMG, I did not like that man at all. If that was my dad, I would have throat punched him. Her mom didn’t help, didn’t really seem to see a problem with Ally’s dad’s behavior told her. However, her mom started to kick some major butt as the book progressed. I liked her mom a lot! Anyway, something, or I should say someone, happens to make Ally stop. That someone was amazing. So down to earth, so in tuned with who they are. Sterling, that someone, gave Ally reasons to live, and I loved how inventive Allen was with this! So sweet, cute, and funny. Ally goes through a transformation throughout this book. It gets pretty weepy in some areas, but oh so funny in others. Mixed in with that is a whole lotta drama, from teenage sex to mean girl snark. This book has a lot of everything a teenage girl goes through. What I like most is that, though Ally was popular and beautiful, her inner self was just as beautiful. She wasn’t petty, she didn’t bring people down to build herself up, and when she said something, it was important, wise beyond her years. Saying that, I know people are going to say, “If she was so wise, why would she try to kill herself?” Well, how others treat you can break you down. The old sticks and stones saying is BS. Words hurt as much as actions, and Ally had both of those beaten into her, among other issues. A dramatic and uplifting read, I know Saving Me is going to stay with me for a while.

What Others Are Saying:
“Wow, I love this book! A beautifully uplifting coming-of-age story with a vulnerable yet strong heroine that you cannot help but love, and an absolutely gorgeous YA romance that had my heart pounding, and a huge smile on my face. Ally’s story captivated me from start to finish. I loved her as a character, and I thought this was a beautifully written story of family, friendship and love, of learning who you are and fighting for what you truly want. Absolutely beautiful – 5 stars!” - The Escapist Book Blog “You know that you have found the perfect book when you find that you can relate to the story and characters in such a way that it feels like the author could be retelling your own story. We are allowed access to the very soul of Ally, and we can feel her emotional despair, her hopes, desires and what will ultimately be life changing moments. I wept for her, felt anger for her, but I also felt moments of extreme happiness for her. The reflective message contained within the pages of this book will stay with readers of all ages.” - YA Book Divas "This book was hella melodramatic “to the nth degree”—the amount of drama in this book could have kept a teenage soap/drama from The CW spoon-fed for a complete season." - Goodreads Reviewer “SAVING ME by Sadie Allen is a beautiful story of finding strength, trusting in others and learning what love truly is, whether it is romantic or familial. Prepare to have your emotions twisted, to become angry, to smile and to have hope for the future of these characters.” - Tome Tender Book Blog “This is a gorgeously written mature YA book - an emotional, dramatic and romantic story that deals with some pretty heavy themes, but that is also sweet, funny and uplifting. This book captivated me from start to finish, and I loved it!” - The Escapist Book Blog

Collection Title: The Happy Endings Collection
Titles: My Temptation ~ Bring The Heat ~ His Promise
Author: L. Wilder
Genre: RomCom
After one too many disappointments in and out of the bedroom, I’d all but given up on men. While I was doubtful that therapy would change anything, I had to try something.
As soon as I walked into Dr. Seth Michaels’ office, temptation set in. With his piercing green eyes and devilish smile, the handsome doctor was every woman’s fantasy, including mine.
He tempted me in ways that I never dreamed possible, but some lines just can’t be crossed. With a newfound libido, I left his office thinking I would never see him again, but fate and a meddling mother had other plans.
Tucker Michaels could bring the heat, striking out anyone who stepped up to the plate, and he was burning up the big leagues.
At least, that’s what I was told.
I had no idea who Tucker Michaels was, and I honestly didn’t care. From the moment I met him, I thought he was an arrogant, smart-mouthed jerk.
I’ll admit he was hot—if you’re into those gorgeous, athletic types, but there was no mistaking the way he looked at me, like I was about to be his next grand slam.
Unfortunately for him, he was about to be the one to strike out. I had no interest in playing games, especially when he was helping my little brother’s baseball team.
… But after a week from hell and one too many drinks, I was starting to see another side of the sexy, charismatic player.
After the devastating loss of my wife and daughter, I did everything in my power to guard my heart, making everyone, including myself, believe I no longer had one. I focused on my work and kept everyone at a distance. It was the only way I could face the day.
I had no time for distractions, but the day Langley, my legal assistant, asked for help with her custody battle there was no way I could refuse. When I was at my worst, she was there to pick up the pieces, making sure I didn’t lose the only thing I had left—my career.
Now, it was my turn to ensure she didn’t lose the one thing she cared about most—her children.
I promised to help, but I had no way of knowing that one promise would turn my entire world upside down. With the help of her two kids, she chiseled away at the walls I’d worked so hard to build, and I found myself wanting the one thing I thought was out of my reach—another chance at love.
Review:
This is my first book by Leslie Wilder or Piper Reeds, but it won’t be my last. I thought this was a cute, steamy read that was just the right length.
You could really see the difference in how Grace viewed herself versus the way the world saw her, and this was due partially to familial relationships. She sees herself standing in the shadow of her “perfect” sister. The other part is the men she has dated. She doesn’t have very much luck with the opposite sex which is why she makes an appointment with Dr. Seth Michaels. I really loved Seth. I don’t want to give a spoiler, so I’ll just say that the gym situation with the older woman was hilarious. He was just perfect all around. If you’re looking for a quick, satisfying read, My Temptation is a good one to pick. 5 Stars
Leslie Wilder grew up in a small town in West Tennessee. A country girl at heart, she’s always thought that life is too short, but she had no idea how short it really was until her brother passed away in 2014. She’s always been an avid reader, loving the escape only a great book can give, and wondered if she had what it took to write one of the wild romances she’d come to adore. With the support of her family and friends, she published Inferno: A Devil Chaser’s MC, one year after her brother’s death. With him in mind, she fulfilled her lifetime dream of writing. Since then, she’s completed the Devil Chaser’s Series and continued on with the Satan’s Fury MC Series. She has so many stories in her head, and can’t wait to share each and every one.
Title: Lucifer’s Daughter
Series: Queen of the Damned #1 Author: Kel Carpenter Genre: Paranormal Romance Release: February 20, 2018
Blurb:
We’ve all heard the story of the four horsemen. Harbingers of the apocalypse. Destruction given form. Four of the sexiest—wait no—forget that. You get my point. So imagine my surprise when I find out everything I’ve ever been told, is a lie. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves here. Let’s start from the beginning. My name is Ruby Morningstar. I run a tattoo parlor in Portland with my best-friend, have a pet raccoon, a crazy ex that stalks me, not to mention this one little thing… I’m a demon. Half-succubus to be exact. For the last twenty-three years of my life, that’s the story I believed, but on the day a handsome stranger bails me out of jail, my world is turned upside down, and suddenly I don’t know who I am anymore. Because the four horsemen aren’t the bringers of the apocalypse. I am. Talk about never catching a break. Warning: Mature content not intended for anyone under the age of eighteen. This book is unsuitable for a younger audience due to language, sexual content, and violence. If the reader is comfortable with a multitude of F-bombs, dark and gritty violence, as well as explicit sexual situations, then by all means one-click this, and enjoy the ride!

Review:
May I have the next book, like, right now, please? ? I love demon and angel books. There are no angels in this one, which makes it so much sweeter, in the naughtiest of ways. And it has to be naughty when the main character is a half-succubus… or is she? Regardless, Ruby is a demon with a conscience. I want to say that her conscience comes more for her own benefit than human’s, yet she could have been nurtured that way since she grew up around humans. It’s hard to tell. She does have an evil side, yet it’s tempered. She doesn’t go full-blown apocalypse like she could. One girl, the four horsemen … that’s a harem I want! Lol! Especially the ones in this book. I want to learn more about them. They have their own POVs, but they are short and focused mostly on Ruby, so we don’t know much about them or their past. We get a glimpse of where this story is going. It will most likely be a trilogy at least, basing off the typical structure of this book. There were some things alluded to that I’m very intrigued in discovering (ie. Lucifer himself and what happened to him). The hierarchy of different breeds is something else I hope is explored. In the end, this book had me eager for more! I already looked the next book up and saw it has a pre-order date for April 20th, so yeah, that’s already been added to my wish list!

About The Book:
Just over a year ago, Bean and Zak headed for colleges two thousand miles apart, promising to write, but to see other people … until Bean fell for the wrong guy and Zak fell off the planet. Now, Bean’s got two weeks’ worth of Zak’s year-old letters that she still can’t bear to open—and a broken heart. Her new best friend, a guy named Amp, wants her to read the letters and be done with it, but he may have his own reasons for that. When Sam shows up at Bean’s school unexpectedly and Bean tumbles into the 19th century from the cellar of a ruined church, things start making a bizarre kind of sense. That is, if she can just fit all the pieces together again…let's see--there's a cult...and the Flying Singing Angel With No Feet...and of course, The Grateful Dead...

Excerpt:
And then something in the morning light dimmed—a cloud in front of the sun? No. A shadow. Someone else was in the church with her. “Bean?” he said. “Hey, Bean. Behind you. Up here!” That voice was familiar, too—so much that it turned her heart inside-out. Bean spun around and looked up into the heavily carved cherry pulpit where Lucia’s father gave his sermons each Sunday. Grasping its edges was someone with long, silver-blonde hair…wearing a purple and blue tie-dye t-shirt. Zak. Bean gasped. This is wrong, she thought. This has to be wrong. But she ran to him anyway. “Check it out!” he said, leaning over the pulpit’s well-polished edge. He leaned forward, caught her hands, and squeezed them. “Pretty bizarre, huh?” Bean didn’t even know when she’d started to cry. Zak’s smile and his steel-blue eyes blurred in her tears. Rules! she thought. This is not okay. It isn’t. She remembered Crow…and danger…but, no. This was Zak! Zak, after all this time, right in front of her, touching her, close enough to…close enough to kiss, she thought, and felt the heat rising in her cheeks. She couldn’t burden him with her worries. She didn’t want to think about them, herself. Gnats buzzed outside and the sun came in golden through the stained glass windows. “Oh, Zak! Oh, wow!” Bean said. Her voice sounded choked and shaky in the reverberant church. “Yeah,” said Zak. “Just look at you, woman!” “You’re not really pissed-off at me because…you know?” He laughed. “It’s not nearly time for that yet. You have to take the manuscript first.” “What?” “Edwina’s manuscript. There on the organ. Go on. Take it, woman. Your job is to keep it safe,” he said. He bent further over the pulpit until his face was next to hers. His lips were warm and dry on Bean’s forehead when he kissed her. “Grab that music.” She raised her face to kiss him back properly… …and then she was standing in the cellar of a building that wasn’t there anymore, looking up at a bright, cold sky above her. Bean wondered for a minute if she’d fallen, but she hadn’t. No scrapes or bruises. Something that had been dead for a long time was breathing again inside of her. She’d seen Zak!

Guest Post:
Dear Reader, How are you doing today? Most of us answer “Fine,” or “Good” whether we feel that way or not. And many of us are actually bored, or coming down with (please-don’t-let-it-be) the flu, or disappointed, or broken-hearted, or…just in need of another place to be that might make us feel better. What I love about a good book is that last thing, that coziness. The “other place to be” we readers know about can lift us out of lots of less-than-good times. My fondest hope for The Bean Books—and What Time Is It There? is number three in that trilogy—is that it sends you there. It surely sent me there while I was writing it. I got to recreate the world of the early 1970’s, with all its grooviness and love and sweet music. And I got to live in the late 1800’s, too—and the early 1960’s and 50’s! Bean Donohue, my main character, is nineteen in the year 1972—but sometimes she slips back in time to other decades or even centuries. She can’t change history; she can only observe…except…(no spoilers!) When she’s not teasing out the truth about an almost-forgotten woman composer of the late 19th century, Bean runs her campus FM station with her best guy friend, a sweet, God-obsessed ex-Mormon named Amp. She’ll need his belief, and the torch she still carries for her lost-to-the-world high school boyfriend, Zak, to get everyone through a harrowing climax to this book’s happy ending. If you’re Bean’s age or in your teens, I wrote this book for you. If you taught yourself how to play guitar like Bean did in Book One, I wrote it for you. But the first two Bean books had lots of Old Adult fans as well as Young Adult ones. If you are anyone who has ever dropped the needle of a turntable onto a Grateful Dead (or Fairport Convention or Simon and Garfunkel) record, I wrote all these books for you, too. See, Bean gets to time travel in this book—but she’ll take you along with her. And if that’s not a journey to some “other place to be,” I don’t know what is. I hope you love my book as much as I do. I really did write it straight from my heart. Enjoy the trip! Peace and Love, Christine Potter

Title: Paco
Series: Night Rebels MC Author: Chiah Wilder Genre: MC Romance Release: February 19, 2018
Blurb:
Paco, the rugged VP of the Night Rebels MC, only stopped to get out of the rain and have some chow at the diner. He was headed back to Alina. He never intended on staying, but he saw her sitting alone at the booth next to his. She had on too much makeup and too little clothing for the cold wintry night. Then she looked at him: her eyes were dark like an endless stretch of midnight sky. In their inky depths, he saw sorrow and pain and threads of fierceness. They drew him in. He, the man who never looked past one night with a woman, wanted to know about this small woman sitting across from him. Sensing she was in trouble, he wanted to help her. He knew he should just pay his bill, hop on his Harley, and head home, but he couldn’t. She grounded him, and in that one instant, he knew she’d be his. The urge to possess her consumed him. Misty Sullivan hated the cold nights when she’d have to haul her ass from truck to truck to make enough to satisfy her boyfriend, Bobby. She used to have another name, but that was a long time ago when she was normal and life was good. She tried not to think about it anymore—it just made her life worse. The stranger who stared at her didn’t look like a trucker. He was decked out in leather and denim, and he looked at her like she was a person, not a piece of a$$. But life experience told her he was probably just as bad as all the other men who came into her world. Men couldn’t be trusted. They acted nice to get a woman where they wanted her, and then they turned mean and ugly. But the stranger’s piercing stare didn’t frighten her, and that surprised her. A good-looking, sexy man like him could have any woman he wanted, so why was he wasting his time with her? Then events threw them together and Misty had to decide if she should trust the man who was playing havoc with her heart. Paco knew that the only way Misty could trust him was to face her past and deal with it. Would she let him help her before her past crashed with her present and destroyed her? Could he let her slip away from him? This is the fifth book in the Night Rebels MC Romance series. This is Paco’s story. It is a standalone. This book contains violence, sexual assault (not graphic), strong language, and steamy/graphic sexual scenes. It describes the life and actions of an outlaw motorcycle club. If any of these issues offend you, please do not read the book. HEA. No cliffhangers! The book is intended for readers over the age of 18.

Excerpt:
Jenn didn’t get lost. She never had in all the time he’d known her. Despite the number of times he and Connor had gone to rescue her, none of them had been because she couldn’t find her way. She’d changed her clothes. And she was toting around that ridiculous bag again. The weight of it pulled her top tight, and he visually traced the curve of her bra before he caught himself. “Don’t you think you should have left this in the room? Security will have a fit if you try to get to the tables with a suitcase on your back.” He gave her a grin. Her eyes lit up like he’d given her the best present ever, and he shivered. A look like that could mean a lot of trouble. The girl had an idea. And that usually meant something scary. Not to mention that it sent his blood rushing southward. Lord help him, he loved that look. “Yeah, you’re right. I better go take it back to the room. I’ll meet you at the registration table in a few minutes.” “I’ll walk with you. What have you got in there, anyway?” She frowned. “You should never ask what’s in someone’s bag. A girl doesn’t just give her secrets away. And I can walk by myself. You’d better go tell Connor I’ll be a few minutes.” “Jenn—” “Go on. I’m going to stop at the hotel desk to ask for more towels anyway.” She started to walk away. “The main desk is the other way.” She glared at him. That was even cuter than her here-comes-trouble look. “I can find my way just fine. Now you better go tell my brother I’ll be along in a bit.” She wasn’t going to let anything happen other than what she’d decided to do. He knew her well enough to understand that, just as well as he knew she’d probably decided on some mischief. He sighed. “Fine.” “Fine.” She stared at him a minute longer. She’d obviously taken a minute to blow dry her hair when she’d changed. Static had caught it, and she looked the tiniest bit possessed. He pressed his lips together and did his best to hide his amusement. She might kill him where he stood if she thought he was laughing at her. When she turned, his laughter died a quick death anyway—the curve of her ass in the deceptively plain skirt nearly brought him to his knees. She walked away, and he leaned against the wall. This was never going to work. He wanted her; she’d always wanted him, even if she was pushing him away this weekend. If he broke down and let her know what she did to him, would she stop pushing and ask him in? The way she’d looked when she asked for mouth-to-mouth said something a lot different than the brush-off she’d just handed him. But he couldn’t do the whole love ’em and leave ’em with her. Not Jenn. He’d never had a long-lasting relationship. His father had left his mother, and his father’s father had left his grandmother. What chance did he have with Jenn, when he was made with the kind of DNA that pushed men to wander?

Excerpt:
Hearing her voice break as her sadness eclipsed her anger, the wave of her compassion flew straight into him. He looked around at the small, dirty faces, remembered their quiet ways. Now he understood why they didn't act like other children. "But why are you taking them to Orum?" He knew it was a mistake as soon as the words left his mouth. She seemed to curl inside herself, her eyes darkened with wariness, her fingers clutching the bedsilks at each side of her. "No need to tell me anything you don't want," he said roughly. "I promised you no questions, and I still mean it. It's none of my business." Gradually, she relaxed her grip on the silks. "I understand you must be curious. Just, please, don't ask me that, again. I'm sorry." The regret in her voice prevented Marc from being offended, but she obviously didn't trust him. Well, he didn't know what was going on, but he knew one thing: no child was going hungry on his ship. "I'll need some help carrying everything." "I'll help, Stackit." Marc turned to see a tall, lanky teen-age boy. At least, he was pretty certain it was a boy under the nondescript clothes and chin-length ropes of hair. Did he say help stack it? Stack what? "I'm Sev. Moldest. They trust me. Make me myth you to marry the mood." The words coming out of this boy's mouth seemed like they should make sense, but they just didn't. Was this some kind of Akilan dialect? Marc turned to the professor again. "The others will trust Sev to carry their food. He's right. You should take him with you." So she'd understood what he'd said. Why did he talk that way? What did trust have to do with carrying food? Marc was struggling to make some sense of it when he felt a tug on his sleeve. He looked down at a husky child with a plascord for suspenders. He was chubby in comparison to most of the others who were much too thin. The boy thrust his round chin up and said rapidly, "I'm Brad. I wanna help." Marc could see the eager gleam in the dark eyes, and the pink tongue darting out to wet his lips. This boy was very hungry. Dammit, he should have offered to feed them the night before. "Come with me," Marc ordered, his jaw tight in frustration. "You, too, Sev." He stormed back to the bridge. When he looked back, Sev was talking quietly to a very agitated Brad, still in the corridor. Clearly, the younger boy wanted desperately to find the food, but he didn't trust Marc. "Brad, come here." The boy shook his head and squirmed away from Sev's hand on his shoulder. "I can mandolin myself, Stackit," Sev offered. Stack it again? In a flash, Marc got it. Pile it. Pilot. Okay, he'd solved one convoluted puzzle. Now, what to do about Brad? He was making the boy more afraid and withdrawn the more he insisted. "Sev, you and I cannot manage all of this food by ourselves. We need someone else to come tell the computer which kinds of food to make. I'm thinking someone like Brad would be the best. What do you think?" Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Brad walk back toward Sev. The teenager cleverly did not look at the younger boy as he took a step forward and said, "Brad would be best, but we might mask one of the mothers." Quickly, Brad grabbed Sev's hand and tugged him forward. Marc sighed. This was exhausting. Talking to these kids was like navigating blue crab traps. How did she do it? He looked further down the hall and his chest tightened. Jul Kisling was gaping at him. Marc guessed the criminal low-life was exhibiting more humanity than she expected from "his people." He walked stiffly to the panel next to the right rear portal where the computer sent the food from the automated galley. "Belle, send up six servings of each: number two, oatmeal bars; number ten, pork strips; number eleven, beef strips; every type of fruit we have." Marc slammed the depression to open the wall panel, retrieved several containers, and handed them to Sev and Brad. Sev loped back to the cabins balancing boxes and pouches in his arms. Brad seemed frozen to the floor. Grace, what now? He remembered the raw hunger he'd seen in the boy's face. "Brad, I need you to go sit down and try some of this here food. Tell me which kind tastes the best." The boy folded himself to the floor and started eating. He kept his eyes on Marc, obviously expecting the food to be taken away at any moment. Marc turned his back to Brad and ordered juice, crystal water, and soy drinks. Sev rushed back with that jerky lope Marc was gradually getting used to. The young man was grinning widely, and Marc found himself grinning in return. He handed him another armload of food containers and pouches of drinks. The next time Sev returned empty-handed, Brad stood next to him with his grubby arms reaching to help. Marc handed the young boy several drink pouches. Once they'd had their fill, he swore, he was talking to that woman about why she let them stay so filthy. When Sev and Brad went through the portal with the final loads of food and drink, they closed it behind them. Marc had never noticed how uncomfortably silent the main cabin could be.
