Review:
This one definitely felt like the middle of a book, the calm before the storm. It read much faster than the first one. Still, the cliffhangers! OMG! So, the cliffhanger in the first book was an OMG moment, yet it could have been taken metaphorically, maybe self-blame. This one though. There is no questioning it. Why do you leave me with all the cliffhangers? This is why I do read a series until all the books are out! I feel like I won't be able to give a proper review until I have read the entire series.

-- SNEAK PEEKS: “On My Honeymoon” by Evan Grace We reach my bungalow and the bellhop carries my luggage into the bedroom and then quickly shows me around and telling me where everything is. I hand him a tip and then shut the door behind him. I kick off my shoes and then walk around the space, I’m in awe at the pure beauty of this place. There are a set of double doors in the bedroom that when I push them open I gasp. The view is breathtaking. It’s blue as far as the eye can see. I move to the end of the deck, a light breezes blows the loose strands of my hair all around me. I walk to the stairs that lead right into the water, and sit down on the top step. I tilt my head back, and close my eyes, letting the sun beat down on me. When I stand up I find my neighbor standing on his deck as well. It’s the man from the plane. He’s wearing a white linen shirt, khaki shorts and he’s barefoot. I hurry inside before he catches me gawking at him. For my first night I decide to just stay in, and relax. When I finally slip into the huge tub I sigh because it’s heavenly. While I soak I begin to analyze my relationship with Alex. It wasn’t perfect, but I thought we were happy. -- “Crossing Jordan” by Ryan Jo Summers Fifteen minutes later, Jordan stood in the produce section of Cimarron Shores’ grocery store, studying tomatoes. A salad sounded good with her dinner. Beefsteak or cherry? Selecting two ripe beefsteak, she moved on to lettuce. Romaine or iceberg? A movement two rows over caught her eye, then a smile crossed her face as her heart skipped a couple of beats and warmth pulsed through her. Will pushed a cart slowly along the apple and pear aisle, a confused look on his face. She had to admit, it looked cute on him. So did the tight, gray ARMY t-shirt under his untucked flannel shirt and painted-on blue jeans. Umm-umm. If they used him in their recruitment posters, ladies would be flocking to enlist in the Army. “Hey, Will,” she greeted as their carts almost bumped. “Fancy meeting you here.” Please don’t let him be scared off by Derek too. She found she was holding her breath. A blush touched his stubble-roughened cheeks and he waved a long list clutched in his hand. “Hi. I’m trying to help Grams and Mom with their weekly shopping. Grams gave me a detailed list.” He shook the paper again. “But she left a lot of the details out.” Jordan couldn’t help but smile at his clear confusion. Poor guy probably didn’t shop much—at least not for a café like The White Orchid. She liked his sheepish grin, enjoying how it made her toes curl and butterflies to take off in her stomach. She sucked in a deep breath to steady herself and gripped the cart handle. Then she moved around the cart so they stood hip to hip. She breathed in his woodsy aftershave. He smelled so masculine. And sexy. “Maybe I can help. I’m pretty good at shopping.” She eyed his cart. He didn’t have anything in there but a loaf of bread. He extended the list, relief on his face. “Granny Smith apples. Six pounds,” she read. “What detail did she leave out for that?” Will shook his head. “Grams isn’t a Smith. She was a Mead before she married Gramps and became a Larkin. So who is Granny Smith and what does she have to do with apples?” Jordan swallowed her giggle, hiding behind brushing her knuckles over her chin. “That’s a type of apple, usually used for baking because they have a tart flavor.” She waved her hand to the signs over the apple bins. The light flickered above Will’s head as he scanned the names. “I’ll be,” he said slowly, more color flushing his cheeks. He turned back to Jordan, that sexy boyish grin playing over his lips. “You must think I’m a real dunce.” She thought he was real cute, and a strong desire to kiss him stole over her. GIVEAWAY!

Review:
I couldn’t put this story down. Like, I need more now! The prologue was sweet and sexy as hell. Then you flash forward too many years later, finding the characters in the prologue living different lives, though they are forced together. Lia and Cruz were amazing characters. I loved how mature they were, not kids anymore. They have a history, they both broke promises to each other, and they have to fight what they want to keep appearances. I felt bad for what Liz went through, and I want to hate Cruz for breaking his promise. That leaves a lot of angst. The ending didn’t surprise me. I had a feeling. Now I’m not certain what it exactly it means—whether it was on purpose or guilt. I can’t say anymore.

Title: Unbroken Promises
Author: Nikki Ash
Genre: Standalone Romance Novel
Release Date: September 27, 2018
Cover Designer: Juliana Cabrera, Jersey Girl Designs
Cover image: Christopher John Photography
Cover models: Taylor Taylor, Lauren Summer, Brock Aaron
When we were kids, we made all kinds of promises. We promised to always be best friends, to always put each other first, and that no matter what, no one would come between us. Little did we know that life had its own plans.
We grew up and reality set in. We realized that not all love lasts forever, and some promises are meant to be broken. It’s ironic that the promises we made as kids, the ones we thought would hold us together, might just be the very thing that could tear us apart.
Delilah is a naturally gorgeous woman. She has beautiful hazel eyes that shine with every emotion. Her body is beyond sexy with a soft yet flat stomach and a round, perfect ass. And her plump, kissable lips leave you wanting to press your mouth to hers over and over again. She’s never paid attention at school, but so many guys over the years have wanted to get between her legs. Cole and I have threatened the shit out of several of those fuckers who’d talk about wanting to take her out, knowing they just wanted to get in her pants.
“You’re just saying that because you’re my best friend.” She rolls her eyes and her fleshy lips turn into a pout. Without thinking, I lean in and press my lips to hers. “You’re beautiful,” I say again. “I’ve thought about us all being together again more times than I can count, but do you understand if we do this, it will change everything?”
“Maybe that’s okay,” she says and turns her head to look at Cole. “None of us are dating anyone, so we aren’t hurting anyone.” She shrugs. “Sex is supposed to be with someone you love, and I love you two, and no matter where life takes us, I know I will always love you both.”
I glance over at Cole and see he’s frozen in thought, so I say what I’m thinking. “I love you too, sweet girl, and if this is what you want, I’m down, as long as we make one promise.”
“What’s that?” Cole asks, finally speaking.
“All of us or none of us.”

Title: Dance With Me
Author: Ann Grech
Genre: M/M Romance
Publication Date: June 24, 2018
When twenty-four year old Eddie Taylor joins cruise liner, the MV Dreamcatcher as a dancer, he thought traveling and performing would be the highlight of his life. He never imagined the Dreamcatcher would lead him to hook his fantasy man.
Silver fox, Captain Will Preston, doesn’t date crew members. It doesn’t set a good example for the captain to be bed swapping, but instant attraction has him rethinking his rule for the spunky dancer. Sparks fly and chemistry sizzles in paradise. But Will wants more. Is Eddie his dream catch?
Movement in the shadows had me pausing. I didn’t think anyone would come down here so long after the show finished. My shift had just ended—I’d been dancing in the performance then the nightclub and I needed to wind down. This was my time, my chance to dance the way I loved best rather than the moves we pulled in the shows. The choreography was hot as hell, but pole dancing was my passion.
I paused the music and called out, “Who’s there?” I cursed myself for letting the tinge of anxiety I felt show. My heart thudded in my chest while I waited for the answer.
“I…I am,” the person answered. It was a man, his Australian accent a deep rumble, and I inwardly moaned. Damn. That accent. An Australian accent got me every time, and the hesitancy in his voice, like he didn’t know if he was in the right place even though he worked on board, was kind of cute.
I was hot and sweaty and I desperately needed the water I had stashed in my bag in the change rooms, but he’d piqued my curiosity. I stepped forward, trying to coax shy boy out. “You wanna step into the light so I can see you, rather than standing in the dark like a creeper?” I was teasing him, but his voice drew me to him and I stepped forward.
The man who came into the light was not at all what I was expecting—he was so much…more. Wearing a smirk and clothes that looked like they’d been tailored to fit him despite being deceptively casual, he was the picture of style. Broad shouldered with thick biceps and forearms, rounded pecs and a flat stomach that tapered down to slim hips, he was an Adonis. Mussed up blond hair and rich chocolate brown eyes, with a chiseled jaw and a perfect nose completing the package. He was beautiful enough to model for any fitness magazine, and lust spiked through me. Fuck me, he is gorgeous. He was tall, so tall I had to look up into his eyes that were piercing yet warm at the same time. I was in trouble. Big, big trouble. I hated to say I had a type because our differences were what made us all amazing, but let’s be real, I had a type. And the man in front of me ticked every. Single. Box.
I was checking him out and not being subtle about it. Who the hell could when this sexy slab of man-meat was standing in front of them? When he shivered, my eyes instinctively snapped to his. Did he do it because of my inspection? Was he feeling the same insane lusty connection I was? He licked his lips and I nearly pounced on him. I was using all my restraint to stop myself from climbing him like a jungle gym, but I couldn’t help the growl that escaped from me. “What’s your name?” he rasped, his voice all dark and sexy.
“Eddie.” My voice came out a lot quieter than normal, but it had the desired effect; he leaned in closer and I smirked. Clearing my throat softly, I added, “My, my, my, aren’t you a handsome one? And what might your name be?”
“Will,” he responded immediately and I smiled at the name. It suited him. Clean cut like a William but he was loose enough not to introduce himself with his full name. I’d only been on the ship since the day before, but he was the sort of person I wouldn’t forget, and now that he was here…
“And what are you doing down here, Will? You lost or are you looking for little ol’ me?” I smirked and checked him out again, this time dropping my gaze straight to his crotch. He had a nice bulge, the length of his shaft clearly outlined in the shorts he wore. Either he was going commando, or he had loose boxer shorts on because there was no way that snake was being contained by anything. I licked my lips, imagining what it'd be like to drop to my knees right here and now and taste him. Sue me, I like sex.
“I, ah…” He shifted his weight and I noticed for the first time he was carrying something–a suit bag, a duffel bag and a hat. And not just any hat, the same hat that the executive staff wore. Will, executive staff? No, it can’t be. My eyes shot to his and I knew. I just knew it.
By day Ann Grech lives the corporate world and can be found sitting behind a desk typing away at reports and papers or lecturing to a room full of students. She graduated with a PhD in 2016 and is now an over-qualified nerd. Glasses, briefcase, high heels and a pencil skirt, she’s got the librarian look nailed too. If only they knew! She swears like a sailor, so that’s got to be a hint. The other one was “the look” from her tattoo artist when she told him that she wanted her kids initials “B” and “J” tattooed on her foot. It took a second to register that it might be a bad idea.
She’s never entirely fit in and loves escaping into a book—whether it’s reading or writing one. But she’s found her tribe now and loves her MM book world family. She dislikes cooking, but loves eating, can’t figure out technology, but is addicted to it, and her guilty pleasure is Byron Bay Cookies. Oh and shoes. And lingerie. And maybe handbags too. Well, if we’re being honest, we’d probably have to add her library too given the state of her credit card every month (what can she say, she’s a bookworm at heart)!
Love & Alliances
Love & Alliances Excerpt
Davina Lacey Yes, I’m drowning. As I said, I’m not a swimmer. That sucks. It’s pretty stupid considering I attend a university that has a campus situated along the Malibu coastline, but that’s just the way things sometimes roll. Life doesn’t always make a lot of sense. Panic slams into my chest and I lose control of my ability to think coherently. My head surfaces for a moment, and I start yelling out for help while still keeping a death hold on Professor Stark’s camera. Water flows over my head and into my nostrils, stinging the sensitive tissue. Only Jenga Rollins would drown in front of an audience of thousands while trying to save a camera. Oh yeah, forgot to mention the water is probably only about ten feet deep. At once a hand surrounds my right arm, pulling my body up against a rock-hard chest as we glide back toward the shores. I go airborne next, and I can feel the ripple in the mystery guy’s muscles. Both I and my camera get to ride inside a set of arms that make the Arnold look steroidal. Well, not really, but that’s how it feels since my rescuer with the strong arms just saved me from drowning. I’m so mortified that I don’t dare try and glance into his face. What must he be thinking right now? Poor, desperate woman attempts suicide while trying to rescue a camera. Gathering plenty of courage, I look up. Why’d I go and do that? “Thanks for rescuing my camera. It truly appreciates your chivalry.” I manage to tear my gaze away from his face long enough to reach out and take my camera out of his hands. “No problem. I specialize in unique rescue missions.” He holds my gaze, humor swimming in his eyes and a smile growing on those perfectly shaped red lips, a mouth made for kissing. Wow. What a beautiful man. Find out what happens next in Love & Alliances! Author Bio: Davina Lacey writes steamy, fun, and glamorous interracial romances that push the boundaries of the imagination and offers a unique and refreshing spin on classic love stories. When she isn't writing, she enjoys gardening, playing & composing music and spending a large amount of time gobbling up all things historical.
