Review:
Where Bad Boys Are Ruined was a sweet addition to Holly Renee’s Good Girls Series—both aptly named btw. Brandon has been a fixture in this series since Parker and Liv’s book. He’s the best friend and ladies man that co-owns the tattoo studio with Parker. He never has a steady girl and doesn’t really date, but that all changes when a cute, shy redheaded baker moves into the building across the street. Charlie is attracted to Brandon from the get-go but is wary of his bad boy looks. I really really really loved her though. She was driven, funny, and so sweet. Everything Brandon never knew he needed. Her parents cracked me up in their unwavering support and advice for their only daughter. We also get to see a bunch of Parker, Liv, Mason, and Staci in this book. Charlie fit right in with that bunch. This was a quick and fun read with very low angst. I definitely recommend the whole series. 5 Stars Available NowWhere Good Girls Go to Die (The Good Girls Series - Book 1) Amazon US: https://amzn.to/2RKQ2lk Amazon UK: http://amzn.to/2FS2s5z Amazon CA: http://amzn.to/2DBBInZ Amazon AU: http://amzn.to/2DC0KmA Where Bad Girls Go to Fall (The Good Girls Series - Book 2) Amazon US: http://amzn.to/2GFcPuJ Amazon UK: http://amzn.to/2FK5rkn Amazon CA: http://amzn.to/2FT8N0k Amazon AU: http://amzn.to/2G0KuRw Giveaway$25 Amazon Gift Card Direct Link: http://www.rafflecopter.com/rafl/display/b1257f8d391/? -- EXCERPT: You know what they say: if you don’t have a weird roommate, you are the weird roommate. I tip the contents of my laundry basket out on my bed and reach to turn up the volume on my speakers. My ‘Putting Clothes Away’ playlist—which features a lot of Adam Levine—is currently blasting out of the surround system. Along with my vintage record player, the speaker set is probably the only thing of value in my tiny, stuffy, and currently sweltering bedroom. “Try to tell you no, ‘cause I’m busy folding up this dress. Try to tell you stop, ‘cause my laundry is all still a mess.” The towel starts slipping off my head as I nod along to the beat of my improvised lyrics. I straighten it back in place and glance at the rest of my outfit—a ribbed green tank top, faded pink I’m-Down-To-My-Last-Pair-And-Desperate granny panties, and a Korean cloth face mask complete with nostril holes that makes me look like Voldemort had drunk sex with a mannequin. Yeah, no way I’m the weird roommate.

Title: Facing a Twisted Judgement
Author: K.J. McGillick
Genre: Mystery/Suspense
Release Date: November 16, 2018
What happens when tunnel vision clouds a police investigation? Is it true that once you are labeled a person of interest you really are the prime suspect? Can you trust the legal system?
Probably not.
After a bitterly contested legal battle over inherited property, the hard-won art collection and its owner Samantha Bennington disappear. Both have vanished without a trace.
When blood spatter is discovered under the freshly painted wall of the room in which two of the paintings were hung, the theft becomes the opening act in a twisted tale of jealousy, revenge, and murder leading to a final judgment for all involved.
As the list of suspects narrows, the focus lands squarely on the husband. Some labeled Samantha’s husband a corrupt attorney, others an opportunist. Either way, he’s in the crosshairs of law enforcement and they are calling him a murderer. But is he the only viable suspect? What about the missing woman’s drug-addicted sister and her convicted felon brother? Both were furious over their loss at court and have more than enough reason to hate Samantha.
Guilty until proven innocent leaves Alexander Clarke facing a twisted judgment.
“Based on the facts and evidence before me, it is ordered, adjudged, and decreed that Samantha Bennington is awarded the following property: the entire art collection of Ronald Bennington consisting of eight paintings set forth in the will. For the purpose of this order, they are set out as two Picassos, one Matisse, one Freud, one Seurat, one Bacon, one Campendonk, and one Munch with an aggregate value of one hundred thirty million dollars. In addition, I further award her the improved real estate property in the deed book on page 1,946 and page 2,002, as set forth in the Office of the Clerk and Recorder and reflected in the last will and testament of Ronald Bennington. For purposes of this order, it is 90 Magna Drive, Denver, Colorado, and that shall pass in fee simple with no liens or encumbrances attached to the property.
“The contest clause is found to be valid, and as such, Marley and Ashton Bennington are stripped of any bequests in the will for having contested the will. My clerk will prepare the estate deed and deliver it to Ms. Bennington.” He leaned back in his red leather chair, removed his glasses, and looked to each side of the room. “That is my order,” he stated. He then signed a package of papers in front of him and handed them to his clerk. “No fucking way,” Marley shouted and stood. “No fucking way are you taking that money away from me. And the Campendonk? Everyone knows that the Campendonk is mine. And the Freud. No, I refuse to accept this order.” Her wild red hair fought its way out of the barrette, and she looked as though she was ready to leap across the table at the judge. The sheriff started walking toward her when her attorney gave a signal that he could deal with the outburst. “Counsel, get your client under control,” the judge ordered. Poor Joe. From the way she was twisting and turning, it looked like he was going to have to wrestle Marley to the ground. She was unrelenting until she spied the deputy walking toward her and saw him touch his handcuffs. That was the only thing that settled her down. “Another outburst like that, I will hold you in contempt of court, and you’ll be spending ten days in jail, young lady. You were apprised of the consequence at the start of this trial, and I specifically had you and your brother sign a document reflecting that you understood this was something that could occur. “Now, to continue, I have prepared a separate order addressing Respondent’s request for attorney fees. I find that this litigation was frivolous in nature and lacked any legal merit. Therefore, I grant Alexander Clarke’s motion for attorney fees in the amount of one hundred eighty thousand dollars to be paid within thirty days of this order in certified funds and divided between Marley and Ashton Bennington in equal amounts. That is the order of this court and shall be filed accordingly. My deputy clerk is handing each counsel of record a copy on behalf of their clients. “Mr. Bennington, you are to wait in the holding cell to be transported back to state prison,” the judge said. Samantha’s brother, Ashton, was serving an eighteen-month sentence for financial fraud in a low-security prison. Not quite the Bernie Madoff of Colorado, but he bilked enough people out of their money that the word intentional rang true. If he had prevailed here, his creditors would have been like jackals around a dead carcass. And, with that, a year of a bloodbath of a trial ended. Now, Sam and I could marry with no ethical violation hanging over my head.

Kip Carmichael is no pretty boy. He's a rough. Dirty. Giant. He's a goner.Teaching her the RULES for winning a jock will be the easy part. Not falling in love with her is going to be a losing game.
Review:
Jock Rule was… amazing! The banter and dialogue between Kip and Teddy was everything. This book was witty, fun, and adorable with some steam (if that’s even a thing). Teddy and Kip are total opposites, and in this case, the adage “opposites attract” really works for them. Teddy is shy and nice while Kip is kind of rude and crude, not to mention, they are from totally different worlds socially. They really bring out the best in one another—Kip teaches her to stand up for herself and Teddy helps Kip learn that not all women are after him for his looks and money—she softens him. Their journey from friends to lovers felt genuine and real. I definitely recommend this book if you like funny and sexy sports romances. Sarah Ney’s writing was magic, and I can’t wait to see what’s next! 5 Stars!

Title: Until We Fall
Series: Trust Duet #2
Author: Edyn Michaels
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: December 4, 2018
Mari was a hot freaking mess.
There’s no better way to explain a person who falls desperately in love with a hottie who puts her first in all things, and gives her an insane amount of orgasms – only to walk away at the first sign of trouble.
She walked away and as a result broke herself and broke Dane.
She didn’t swear off men, but she sure as hell swore off any type of intense connection with men. It was safer that way. Trust issues sometimes meant never putting yourself in a position where you could be broken.
Dane:
One mistake made, a few lies told, a night of crazy monkey sex, and then nothing.
Dane found himself in a bit of a tailspin, blaming himself for breaking Mari’s trust, blaming himself for her walking away, and blaming himself for not running after her, knocking her upside the head and dragging her back to him.
He had to get her back, but more importantly he had to earn her trust again.
Jamison:
After years of believing a lie to be the truth, Jamison finds his soul laid bare and the very fabric of his bad-ass persona ripped to shreds.
Add in an evil pixie of a woman who challenges him at every turn, and Jamison finds himself being brought to his knees for the first time since he was a kid.
Three broken people, three bruised souls…
Will they be strong enough to allow themselves to fall?
Edyn Michaels lives in Massachusetts with her husband and eight pets. She believes in unicorns, thinks that calories don’t exist on her birthday, your birthday, his birthday, everyone’s birthday. Holidays either. Calories definitely don’t exist on holidays.
When she’s not writing, she works a handful of jobs, and is learning to play the bagpipes. Because, well, why not?
Her favorite type of books to read are the ones that require a large stock of batteries in the nightstand drawer, but at the same time, she likes complex characters that she can relate to. But mostly, batteries.
Side hobbies include photography and so much baking. And bitching about whatever diet she is on at the time.
Title: The Ex Effect
Author: Karla Sorensen
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: December 5, 2018 Cover Design: Najla Qamber Designs
The headline could write itself:
Matthew Hawkins, star defensive end, comes out of retirement to play for the Washington Wolves.
Which is perfectly fine by Ava Baker—it makes her job as publicist for the team easier.
There’s only two problems. This particular football player was her first crush.
The bigger problem: Matthew Hawkins was once engaged to her older sister.
It’s been ten years since Ava has seen Matthew. He’s bigger, better looking, and best of all—completely single. Despite his history with her sister, the attraction between Ava and Matthew isn’t so one-sided anymore.
It’s hot enough to burn down the entire city of Seattle.
But this headline is far more complicated to write. And not just for the press or what it means for her family— because once her heart is involved, there’s no predicting the ending.
Well, let’s see ... I’m a wife and a mother. If the things that I write bring a smile to someone's face, then I've done my job. I am obsessed with Outlander (both the books and the show). I’m almost exclusively a romance reader, which means some people will never consider me a literary snob. If I could meet one historical figure, it would be Jane Austen. I received my Bachelors in Public Relations and worked in health care marketing before I had my babies. I hate Twitter. I do it, but I hate it. Also, if you want to get on my good side, bring me wine and I'll love you forever.

About the BookBlurbOne glance is all it takes to bring his defences crashing down… Seventeen-year-old Davey has never made friends easily. Shy, geeky, crippled with social anxiety, he feels isolated from his peers, and only his position as defender for the school football team fills the void of loneliness. On the pitch, his deft footwork has earned him the respect and acceptance of his squad, though at a price. Desperate to hold onto this camaraderie, Davey conceals the truth from everyone, even his own family. Then, during the annual Brookshire football tournament, his eyes meet those of a rival player across the field and a spark flares between them, one neither boy can deny. Adam is everything Davey longs to be—confident, popular, comfortable with his sexuality. Davey aches to explore their connection, to discover where it might lead, but how can he follow his heart and risk rejection by his teammates, the closest thing to friends he has ever known?ExcerptThe rain has stopped. A soft mist hangs in the air, turning the distant streetlights a hazy orange. After the stuffiness of the clubhouse, the night is bitterly cold and I pull on my sweatshirt against the chill. I sit on the steps overlooking the car park, heedless of the damp that seeps through my jeans. Elbows on knees, I rest my chin in my hands and close my eyes, attempting to clear my mind. I don’t want to think anymore. I just want to sit with nothing but the dark and the quiet for company. I haven’t been hunched there long when the door opens, ejecting a stream of warmth and thumping bass. I glance behind me, although I know who it will be. My body goes still. Adam lets the door swing shut and, just like that, we’re alone. He doesn’t seem surprised to find me on the steps. Perhaps he saw me leave. Has he followed me? My insides clench. What if Adam thinks I did it deliberately, that I meant to lure him out here. Maybe I had. Maybe, deep down, a part of me hoped Adam might come, even while the rest of me prayed he wouldn’t. This time, when our gazes connect, there’s no one to see, no football match to act as a buffer. I drink him in. Even in the faint glow filtering through the frosted pane in the door, his eyes are a vivid blue. “Hey,” Adam says. Such a simple word that expresses so much. There’s recognition there, like we’re childhood friends meeting after years apart, but uncertainty, too. He has a nice voice, I register through my turbulent thoughts—warm and slightly husky. “Hey.” My reply emerges somewhere between a croak and a squeak. Cringing, I stare down at my feet. “It’s Davey, right?” I fling him a startled look. Had this boy—this confident, gorgeous boy—actually gone to the trouble of finding out my name? One side of Adam’s mouth lifts in a crooked smile. “Well, I had to know who the lunatic was who almost took my leg off.” “God.” I bury my face in my hands. Of course Adam was going to ask about me after what happened on the pitch. “I’m so sorry.” He laughs and nudges my thigh with the toe of his trainer. “I’m kidding. Seriously, you did us a favour.” I dare a peep at him, unable to rid myself of the thought that he has pursued me out here to take the piss. That wouldn’t be anything new, after all. “It’s true.” Adam crouches on the step beside me, his expression amused but without malice. “Rob warned me about you. He said the rest of your defence was pretty solid, but probably weren’t quick enough to catch me. You were the real threat.” I grimace. “I’m guessing he wasn’t expecting me to take you out quite so spectacularly, though.” “Funnily enough, that wasn’t included in the pep talk. Still, I should be thanking you. You made our job a whole lot easier.” “Don’t remind me. You should’ve heard the guys after the match. I’ll never hear the end of it.” Adam laughs again, and I can’t hold back a smile. Here I am, having an actual conversation with an amazing-looking boy—a boy who’d caught me checking him out, no less—and I’m not making an ass of myself. The door behind us bursts open and several guys spill out. I tense, guard raised. Will they think it odd us sitting out here alone? I scan their faces, but none are from Farnstead. A moment later, they barrel down the steps without giving either of us a second look and head for one of the cars parked nearby. As they pile in and the engine growls to life, I exhale, shoulders slumping. I can feel Adam studying me and keep my gaze lowered. “You’re not out,” he says, “are you?” “What?” My entire body goes rigid. He knows. I’d already guessed as much, but suspecting it is one thing; being confronted with the indisputable truth sends me spiralling back into panic mode. Why had he really followed me out here? I’d thought…been sure I’d read something in his eyes when they locked with mine, but what if I’m wrong? Do I truly believe someone like Adam, someone popular and self-assured, would have sought me out? Unless… I see again the Brookminster players in their huddle, sniggering, moments after Adam caught me staring. I’d reassured myself they weren’t laughing about me, but perhaps my fears had been well founded. The cold certainty settles like a snowball in my gut. I’d given myself away, and now the other lads have sent Adam out here to chat me up, trick me into an admission I won’t be able to take back. For all I know, his mates are somewhere close by as we speak, listening in. “Hey.” Adam extends his palms in what is probably supposed to be a calming gesture. “It’s all right. I know and it’s all right.” “You don’t know anything,” I snap. The instinct for self-preservation, to keep my protective wall intact at any cost, propels me to my feet. “You hear me? You don’t know anything about me.” Before he can respond, I’m down the steps and sprinting into the darkness, phone already out to call my parents. All I want is to go home, crawl into bed, and forget today ever happened.Purchase Your Copy!Kindle UK | Kindle US | Nook | Apple Books | Kobo | Smashwords | Beaten Track PublishingAbout Jamie DeaconAuthor BioJamie lives in a tranquil spot close to the River Thames in Berkshire, England, and has always been just a little out of place—the only redhead in a family of brunettes; an introvert far more at ease with dogs than with people; a connoisseur of simple pleasures in a society intent on the quest for wealth and fame.
