Title: Maniac
Series: Fallen Lords MC #3
Author: Winter Travers
Genre: MC Romance
Release Date: March 29, 2018
Wren Glass was done. She couldn’t continue to live the lie everything was okay, when in reality, she was dead inside. After being used and abused by the Hell Captains MC, Wren lands in the lap of Maniac. A man who sees her as nothing more than a chore.
A man just like the one she managed to escape.
At least, that’s what she thought.
Vengeful. Enraged. Calculated.
Maniac West isn’t a man to mess with. Not with him and not with his club.
When he is assigned to watch over Wren, he ignores how he feels about the woman with the soulless eyes. Something in them makes him crave to return light there. But Wren is a job. No more, no less.
That all changes when Wren decides she doesn’t want to live.
A woman battered and bruised from the inside out, with no will to live, needs a hero.
Maniac isn’t a hero, but he will turn hell upside down and burn it to the ground to avenge the woman who fell into his world. Anything to bring back the light in her eyes.
Review:
Maniac was a good addition to the Fallen Lords Series. It was a slow, sweet seduction that breaks your heart but mends it back together in the end. Wren endured every woman’s worst nightmare. She survived physically, but mentally and emotionally it wrecked her. She attempts to do the unthinkable, but her unlikely hero steps in and rescues her once again. After, he guides her back to herself and healing the wounds that have been festering inside her. Wren’s journey, while the cause was wretched, was beautiful. Maniac had all the characteristics that make a good hero. He was alpha, protective, sweet, loving, patient, and understanding—hard yet soft. He wanted to make his woman safe, and he did. He did whatever it took to make sure Wren never lost herself again. We get cameos from all our favorite characters and a hint of where the next book will take us. Winter Travers crafted a story that was heart-wrenching and restorative but sprinkled with humor. I loved the girl gang and was glad to see their antics. Some parts were slow, but that’s really my only complaint. Overall, it was just a well written, emotional story. 4.5 Stars
Winter Travers is a devoted wife, mother, and aunt turned author who was born and raised in Wisconsin. After a brief stint in South Carolina following her heart to chase the man who is now her hubby, they retreated back up North to the changing seasons, and the place they now call home.
Winter spends her days writing happily ever afters, and her nights zipping around on her forklift at work. She also has an addiction to anything MC related, her dog Thunder, and Mexican food! (Tamales!)
Winter loves to stay connected with her readers. Don’t hesitate to reach out and contact her.
